Master school graphic design project for a series of book covers.
The idea behind this project is a series of books for young readers, collecting stories whose main characters might be considered sort of eccentric, bizarre, a little bit odd, but interesting for sure!
The series name – the Italian “gli Stravagambi” – combines two adjectives – stravagante (lit. “bizzarre”) and strambo (lit. “eccentric”), and could be translated as “The Bizantrics”. A small nursery-rhyme on the back cover describes the main essence of the collection.
The logotype on the cover and the logo on the spine have been designed to visually identify at a glance any volume from the series.
The cover graphics combine bright colors and simple vectorial shapes to be suitable and appealing mostly to young readers. Also, it has been designed to be extremely versatile and adaptable to any new entry in the series.
